Mick Thyer
Mick Thyer (1st Assistant Director) is a commercial, theater, and feature film director, actor and writer, and has taught intensive creative writing workshops in Los Angeles for the past 9 years. Mick has worked for Disney UK, A Band Apart, Funnyordie, 418 Films and Beach Glass Films to name just a few. He has worked in Europe, his homeland of Australia, and throughout America in a wide spectrum of theater and film projects. Mick most recently directed a staged reading of the pilot “O2,” starring Westworld’s Angela Sarafyan. In 2018, he directed his first feature film in Belgrade, Serbia, 48 Hours and One Minute, which is currently slated for distribution. His most recent acting work was in the psychological thriller, The Long Dark Trail, produced by 418 Films and distributed by Black Mandala, and is set to lead in their next feature Cheat, in November, 2022. Mick continues to work as a writer, actor and director in the feature film and television industry, and teaches writing at various institutions around the US.
